Rick Chan speaks at the Annual Quality Assurance Seminar
Rick Chan, Mazars Singapore’s Head of Technical and Training, was part of the panel of facilitators together with the Chief Inspector, Public Accountancy Sector Department of ACRA and two other partners from the small and medium practices firms in the Annual Quality Assurance Seminar organised by ISCA at Four Seasons Hotel Singapore on 1 November 2013.
The seminar aimed to provide participants, in particular those from the small and medium-sized practices (SMPs), with a better understanding of the common deficiencies found in the audit work performed as well as recommended approach to address these deficiencies.
By bringing the participants through the audit processes from pre-audit (client acceptance and continuance) to audit completion, the speakers, comprising experienced practitioners, shared examples of common deficiencies and practical solutions to address them. The seminar was attended by more than 200 participants which include partners and managers from SMPs and the Big 4 firms.
