Mazars Partners appointed as Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Advisors of ICPAS
Denis Usher and Rick Chan appointed as Senior QA Advisors of the QA Review Panel, a sub-committee of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore (ICPAS).
On October 2012, Denis Usher, Managing Partner and Head of US Desk, and Rick Chan, Partner and Head of Technical and Training, have been appointed as Senior QA Advisors of the QA Review Panel for the QA Reviewer Programme under the ICPAS. Rick was also previously a member of the ICPAS Financial Statements Review Committee.
The QA Review Panel is composed of 10 Senior QA Advisors and is headed by Ms Lim Ai Leen, Executive Director of Technical Knowledge Centre & Quality Assurance.
The role of the Senior QA Advisor is to review the findings and preliminary proposed action plans (“Draft QAR Report”) prepared by QA Advisors and propose amendments prior to their finalisation. This is a new effort of ICPAS in promoting quality of audit amongst the practising accountants of small and medium practices.
