Employment Pass Threshold Raised to $3,600

The qualifying salary for foreign talent holding Employment Pass (EP) will be increased starting on 1 January 2017.

According to Ministry of Manpower’s (MOM) press release on Tuesday (26 July 2016), the qualifying monthly salary for an EP will be raised from $3,300 to $3,600, with the change to take effect early next year. This is in line with the Singapore government's continuous and steady efforts to keep pace with rising local wages and also to "maintain the quality" of the foreign workforce.

Existing EP holders will need to note the changes which impact their renewals.
