Mazars Partners Narissa Chen and Mark Chew strengthen expertise with appointment to key ISCA committees

Mazars in Singapore, a leading international audit, tax, and advisory firm, is delighted to announce the membership of our senior leadership to two key Institute of Chartered Accountants Singapore (ISCA) committees.

Narissa Chen, Partner, Head of Audit and Assurance and Executive Committee (EXCO) member has been re-appointed to the Auditing and Assurance Standards Committee (AASC) of ISCA.

Meanwhile, Mark Chew, Audit Partner is newly appointed as a member of the Banking and Finance Committee (BFC) of ISCA. These appointments underscore the firm's commitment to excellence and the leaders’ significant contributions to the accounting field.

Narissa brings over 15 years of professional practice in audit and assurance to her role on the AASC. Her expertise has been invaluable in driving the success of the committee's initiatives. Notable achievements during her previous term include the issuance of Audit Bulletin 3, aiding firms in implementing Quality Management Standards, and the collaboration with the Financial Reporting Committee on Technical Bulletin 1, which highlighted the financial reporting and auditing implications of climate-related risks. Narissa's re-appointment until 2025 demonstrates ISCA’s recognition of her outstanding contributions and their confidence in her ability to continue developing quality auditing and assurance standards.

Mark specialises in the financial services sector, particularly banking audits. He has over 12 years of invaluable experience in audit and assurance including international exposure in Melbourne, Australia. As a Chartered Accountant in both ISCA and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ), Mark's exceptional knowledge and dedication are widely recognized. This prestigious appointment to the BFC reflects his outstanding commitment to the profession.

As a member of the BFC, Mark will play a pivotal role in providing direction and feedback on issues involving the banking and finance sectors. He will contribute his expertise and offer input on accounting, auditing and regulatory issues related to the banking and financing industry.
